University Housing Eligibility for Faculty and Staff The Northwood Community Apartments Walk-In for CURRENT STUDENTS, STAFF AND POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWS will be held Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27 at the Housing Information Office, 1011 SAB. This is for any currently enrolled student, currently employed permanent staff member or current postdoctoral research fellow who wants to be considered for the family or single apartments in Northwood I, II, IV or V for occupancy beginning July 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. A lottery will be held for participants in the Walk-In to determine the order the applications are reviewed. Current students, faculty, staff or postdoctoral research fellows who want housing now through June 30, 2008 should contact the Housing Information Office at housing@umich.edu . on how to apply. **IMPORTANT: Any newly Admitted Students requesting Northwood Community Apartments for Fall Term 2008 will be emailed to complete the on-line application based on their paid or waived EDR. We will begin emailing newly admitted students regarding when they can complete the on-line application in Mid-March. New Faculty, Staff, or Postdoctoral Research Fellows requesting Northwood Community Apartments for anytime after July 1, 2008 should e-mail University Housing at housing@umich.edu .
Faculty, staff, visiting faculty or scholars, and postdoctoral research fellows
are eligible to live in University-owned and operated apartments or townhouses,
subject to availability of units after all eligible student applicants have been
accommodated. Applications are processed and offers are made based on the date
the application is received in our office and availability. Families with dependent
children have the highest priority. Single applicants may apply for efficiencies,
economy one-bedrooms and one-bedrooms in Northwood I, II or IV. Faculty, staff
and postdoctoral research fellows are considered non-students. All contract end June 30th regardless of the lease start
date. We do not offer short-term contracts through the Housing Information Office. However, guest apartments are available through conference management services. Non-students must be able
